As always, you can contact me at any time through either e-mail, at danielrossbotterill@gmail.com, or by telephone at 416.882.0897 - Catalogue and Services - Composition Design Music Visual Art - News - Hi everyone. I apologize for the whole last-minute-ness of this but, if haven't already heard, Pride Toronto has been postponed due to the G-20 Summit.
And with that, so has the Artwherk! Collective exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario. The show has been postponed to open
on the 30th of June. It's still a Wednesday so it's still free from 6:30 PM until close. Please come out opening night as, due to scheduling conflicts with the AGO, there is no guarantee on how long the exhibit will be showing.
If there was ever a time that the local LGBT artists of your community needed your support - this would be it. Please come and show them that we are here, queer, and all that... well, jazz ;) See you at the show. (Updated May 27th 2010) So, it's been solidified. June 22nd - July 4th, I will be once again displaying my work at the Art Gallery of Ontario. My submission for the 2010 Permanence Exhibition by the Artwherk! Collective has been accepted and I plan to start working on my piece immediately. The piece is entitled "Fan Favourites"
and I sincerely hope it is one - in more than one way. For more information on the piece in progress itself, check out the "future" portion of this website. The exhibition opens on June 22nd and as always, admission to the AGO, one of our country's most breathtaking and prestigious
galleries, is FREE on Wednesday evenings between 6 and 8:30 PM. I hope to see many of you there and hope this year is the best Artwherk! exhibition ever. This is only the second time
the AGO has hosted a Pride event, so come out and show your support for the social advancement of our community. Till then, adieu - there is work to do. (Updated May 10th 2010) As you've probably noticed by this point, the website has had a huge overhaul - a task which was long overdue. My hope is that the new site
is more comprehensive, easier to navigate, easier to update and overall, provides a clearer view of what I'm working on, what I've done, who I am as
an artist and what it is I have to offer to any of those interested in my services. Not only am I a painter (as my previous website
was more than capable of illustrating), but an artist in general - writer, designer, musician and idea-man. The new www.dbotterill.com is my home on the web and a solid window into my past, present and future.
Here you'll find plenty of information on all my projects to date, recorded tracks available for download, projects I'm currently engaged in, a list of my current inventory for sale, my plans for the future and of course, what's going on the world of Daniel Ross Botterill right now. Whether you're a fan from way back when or just getting to know me, I'm glad to have you on board and look forward to speaking to you in the future.
Though many of my creative written works are still in progress, that doesn't mean I can't help you out in the meantime. Whether it's an upcoming speech, summary, presentation - even if you just need an editing eye - all projects are open for discussion.
Looking to step up your professional look? Well, there's no time like the present. For the past ten years, I have been heavily involved in graphic design of all types - logos and branding, advertising, album covers, websites and html.
If you're looking to fill a room with a swingin' good time, Danny's the man who can make that happen. Danny & the Holy Mountain is always looking for new hills to haunt, so call or e-mail today to make arrangements.
On top of my own creative endevours, I also offer a full portraiture service, creating paintings that perfectly capture the candid beauty of any event or moment. If you are interested in this opportunity, or any of the works you see below, call or e-mail to set up an appointment or schedule a viewing today.

For a more in-depth look at any of the works you see here for sale, please consult the "past" portion of this website.

It doesn't matter what weapon I wield; art is always the battlefield.
There are a lot of places to go in life... a lot of roads that one can take. My falling into art? That was just an accident. But I don't mind - not really. After all, that was where I discovered one of the few ways there was of showcasing the harsh grit and honesty of the real world. All it needed was that almost cinematic aesthetic that our generation can't seem to live without.
The real world: It doesn't really look as spectacular as artists paint it. That's just a parlour trick. But it really is. It is that amazing. And it's definitely something worth putting up a show for.
So... let's put on a show.
My name is Daniel Ross Botterill. I'm a soldier of fortune, a defender of my species and a loyal subject to the modern world that forged me. And like most people, I'm just some dude living in the real world.
